The Pure-Castile really is powerful enough to cut through dried liquid foundation crud, but still gentle enough not to cause the bristles to fall out. Clean brushes work so much better and give peace of mind that I’m not layering my face with unknown bacteria.

The best way I’ve found to eliminate stains is with pure Dr. Bronner’s Sal Suds directly on the stain. The earlier you can get it on, and the longer you can let it sit, the better the results. But this has even worked on set-in stains that I’ve been slow to discover.
