Dr. Bronner’s are pleased to announce they are now certified Fair Trade! They take care of their employees with generous salaries and benefits (no-deductible PPO health insurance and a great, fully funded profit-sharing/retirement plan). Executive pay is capped at five times the lowest-paid position, and all profits not needed for business development are given to support progressive charities and causes.

This philosophy is extended to the farmers and workers around the world who produce the major raw materials (representing over 95% of Dr. Bonner’s annual agricultural volume). Along with their families and communities, farmers benefit from fair prices, living wages and funding for local development projects. Shifting supply chains to certified Fair Trade ingredients makes a big difference in the lives of several thousand farmers and workers — and is money well spent.
